Christmas 2008

I am finally finding time to post all of our pictures, so here are the Christmas pictures for this year. Anderson got so many great things and is loving them all! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband, son, and family. They got me the most Beautiful necklace it's a heart with diamonds in it, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world (there's a pic of it in the slideshow) Anderson got tons more elmo stuff and all kinds of other things as well. We all had such a great Christmas. Here are some pics of all Andersons stuff excpet a few more elmo things he had taken off with and a clay set to make his little hand prints. I didn't get to take pics of my christmas tree until Christmas eve night and by then I had already removed half the presents because we do some christmas early and I had to add more stuff that night also so it looks a little bare lol.

Family Pictures

Ok I've had these pics back for a while now, but with everything that has gone on with Anderson I haven't had time to post them. We finally were able to get our family pictures done. We made an appointment forever ago and it finally got here! We did Christmas pictures and she took a few with anderson and the "1" block since we haven't had time to get any bday pics made with him. They turned out so good, and I am so pleased. They're the best pictures we've ever had done as a family and of Anderson. I can't believe how great they turned out considering how sick Anderson was, you can't even tell he felt bad at all!

update on litl man...

we took Anderson to the dr today and they did a chest xray and a throat swab, both came back negative and clear. So he just has a cold... He is still running a fever sadly and all we can do is alternate back and forth between tylenol and motrin and just make sure it doesn't get up too high.
Please just keep praying that his fever will go away and our little boy will be well again

Please keep praying for Anderson

Anderson has been acting and feeling much better. He had a great Christmas and got lots of good stuff. Last night though he started running a low grade fever (he hasn't had a fever since 4 am monday when he was at the hospital) and through the night it got up to 102. 4. I don't think it is related to the viral infection, but I am not sure so we are going to take him to the dr today at 2:30 (the only opening they had). We are thinking he caught a bug from being in the emergency room friday night-saturday morning for 7 hrs. The reason we are thinking this is because my mom (who stayed there 7 hrs with us) is sick with a sore throat, running a fever, congested and losing her voice, I have the same thing and now anderson is congested, running a fever and stopped up it's horrible. So if yall will just pray this is just a little cold and they can give him some anitbiotics and that be all it is this time. I don't want my baby to go through that stuff again.

Please Pray for my baby boy!!!!

Everything was fine... Anderson was acting like he does nothing wrong, no cough, sniffles, sickness nothing. We layed him down around 9 and he went right to sleep around 11:30 we heard him whinning in his bed and he sounded muffled like his face was under a blanket or something. Ralph rushed upstairs because he just kept crying like he coulnd't get air cause he was under something. When ralph got to him he was laying face down in his crib and was limp when ralph picked him up. He had no control of his body, he coulnd't turn his head to breathe in the bed. Ralph stripped his clothes off b/c he was hot and checked his temp it was 103. 5 we gave him some tylenol and then we called the paramedics because he coulnd't hold his head up or move his body. Before they got there he started closing his eyes and his breathing was getting too slow. When the paramedics got there he responded to them, but they wanted us to go straight to childrens Er. We got to the Er at 12:55 friday night ,saturday morning which ever you want to say and werent seen until 2:00 to get his vital signs by then he was still running a fever of 103. They did nothing, but give him motrin. We stayed in the Er for 7 hours and they never saw my baby... even knowing that the paramedics had sent us. I called Anderson's dr from my phone in the er at 8:00am saturday morninng told them what happened and that we were still in the er after 7 hs and hadnt been seen, they told us to come on to the office so they could look at him. They checked his blood, urine, xrayed his chest everything you can think of and all they could find was that his white blood cells were elevated. They gave him a antibiotic shot and sent us home because by this time anderson was running around acting like he felt fine. We got home and he was so sleepy because none of us had any sleep the night before since we stayed in the er all night. He started shaking because of the fever, I told ralph I was going to take a shower and to take Andersons clothes off so I could bathe him while I was in the tub. He was hot so he checked his temp and it was 105.9 ralph tried to give him some tylenol to help the fever while he called the dr, but anderson threw it up. So he quickly brought him to me to try and cool him down. He was crying when I got him in the tub, but I bathed him real quick and was talking to him. I got him and sat him up in my lap so I could run the water over him and all the sudden his face went blank... his pupils got real large and his face turned red, he started drooling out of his mouth and then started having a seizure in my arms. I screamed for Ralph and he called the paramedics, grabbed anderson and tried to dry him off while I was quickly getting dressed. He started having more seizures and throwing up. The paremedics got there and said we gotta go now!!! We got to the Er 12 hrs to the min from when we were there the first time. My baby looked lifeless they were screaming at each other and doing so much to him. They sent us out and to a room down the hall. I coulndn't breathe all I could do was scream. If they would have done their jobs the first time we were there my baby might now would have gone through everything that day. They got him breathing with a venatilator and kept him sedated. It was so sad, but he was alteast breathing. They did a ct scan, and a spinal tap, and everything was clear, the only thing they said was what the drs office had said, which was that his white blood cells were high. Later that evening he was finally taken off the breathing tube and able to breathe on his own. He stayed in PICU until around 11:30 that night when they finally moved him up to Nicu because he was feeling so much better. We stayed here two nights because they wanted to watch him because he was still having a fever of 102 off and on. It is now 12:04 on monday and we are finally being discharged. They're sending him home with a gel that we put in him if he starts having more seizures at home. The gell will stop the seizure so that he will be alright till the paremedics get to him. The only thing they know is that he had a virus and his fever going up so high so quick is what caused the seizures. All his tests were clear so they want us to take him home. Please just pray for our family and my little boy. Weve been through a lot since friday night and we just need your prayers and we hope that he never has to go through any of this again.

Poor Baby...

Picture of his stitches the night it happened

Day 3 pictures

Well Anderson has now had his first stitches due to a fall. Anderson was playig at my grandmothers yesterday and was getting sleepy so he was staggering around everywhere. The Ellen show had just come on and he was dancing to the music and turned and fell face first on a sleigh my grandmother has out in her living room for Christmas. I ran over to him because he was crying so hard and realized it had busted his eyebrow open. I quickly got him to the sink to rinse it off and of course he didn't want me to touch it. I had the feeling that it was bad enough we were going to have to see a doctor. So I called ralph and told him and he said go on and call the doctor and see if we can go see them. I called and the nurse told me that his doctor wanted him to go on and go to Childrens Emergency Room since the cut was on his face... if something had to be done he wanted them to go on and do it so it wouldn't scar badly if any. We sat there for atleast three hours before we finally got to get something done and they ended up putting in three stitches. It was horribe...I felt so helpless while they were holding him down and he was screaming...I sat in the corner and cried. He was fine after it was all over, but was extrememly drunk from all the motrin they gave him in the room when we got there. He's doing better today and so far it doesn't seem to be bothering him. I am just thankful it wasn't any worse than it was.

Thankful...

So we went and ate at golden corral tonight because I was craving a salad. We were almost ready to leave, and there was a soldier sitting near us at a table eating. A man out of nowhere getting ready to leave walked up to the man and shook his hand and thanked him for what he did for us and for our country. I about cried just sittig there watching. I have never actually seen someone go up and thank a soldier. I felt the most warm and wonderful feeling as he thanked him. I've always heard emails about needing to thank them, just never have for some reason. It just really made me realize what they go through for us and that they really do not get enough thanks. I hope yall read this and realize what I did tonight. God Bless everyone and thank everyone who has or is serving this country for our Freedom!

Anderson's First Haircut!

We finally got Anderson's hair cut for the first time the other day. He did so well and I am so proud of him. He didn't cry or anything. He sat there like such a big boy and let her do everything she needed to do no problem. He looks so precious now, like a big boy! Sadly some pictures are a little blurry because I didn't have my good camera, but they're still cute.
